DILLON, S.C. — Ross Kenseth, son of 2003 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Matt Kenseth will visit ASA-sanctioned, Dillon Motor Speedway for the first time in his career on March 10 for the South Carolina Clash 150.

The Clemson University student juggles his racing career and his mechanical engineering studies on a weekly basis; an extremely difficult thing to do for a rising star. Ross has had huge success in the Midwest, but he has never clocked laps around the 4/10th mile egg-shaped oval in Dillon, S.C. He is visiting the area to compete in the annual Pro All Star Series (PASS) feature.

DILLON, S.C. After several years of anticipation, ASA-sanctioned, Dillon Motor Speedway finally unveils its multi-year marketing campaign, Full Throttle.

The new slogan represents the “Full Throttle” attitude that Dillon Motor Speedway and their fans have in all of the innovative ideas at the speedway. The ultimate goal is to surpass the cutting edge of promoting in the Pee Dee. Last year, the speedway experimented with new social media tactics, as well as a free race and the results surpassed all predictions.

“There is a lot in store for the 2012 season,” Owner Ron Barfield said. “From having a new interactive website to live streaming of a few selected races, I think that the fans will see every angle that the speedway has to offer this year. It’s thanks to all of our fans, teams and sponsors that this new idea has come to life.”

February 11, 2012 – Tampa, FL – The final event for the UMP/EBRP Open Wheel Modififeds and the Team USA Mod Lites kicked off with heat races for the Modifieds. Four heat races with the winners advancing to the 75 Lap A-Main. Top six were locked in by virtue of points. Top six were Kenny Wallace, Rodney Wing, Bart Hartman, Devin Dixon, Kevin Adams and Wayne Hammond.

First up were the heat races and heat race number one went to Kyle Bronson from Brandon, FL. Heat race number two went to Brad DeYoung out of Wheatfield, IN. Heat race number three’s winner was Matt Cooper from McKenzie, TN. The fourth and final heat went to Vic Vena out of Shinglehouse, PA.

Next in line was the Team USA Mod Lites B-Main. Top ten were locked in by points into the A-Main Feature. Kevin McKinney out of Dover, DE won with Brett Crowther, Randy Bryan, Shawn Sliter, and Matt Smith rounding out the top five.
